Update 1/26/15

Monday, January 26th, 2015

Lake level is at 603 and steady. The lake is wide open on the dam end of the lake. The only ramp that seems to be useable at this time is John Spaulding. My understanding is there is a path where there is a very light skim of ice, but people have been getting on through it. With the warm weather this week there should be more open soon. Deep brush, bridge piers, and even the face of the dam could produce some fish.

Update 1/8/15

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Lake level is 603.3. The main lake looks to be open, but both the North and Middle Fork bridges are iced in. It looks like one could put in up near the dam and fish the face of the dam or a bluff up there. I am sure fish are there to be found. Before this last cold weather there were still people out catching limits of crappie. If you are thinking of coming up to fish just give us a call and we will find out which ramps are accessible. Small game hunting is open until Feb 15. There are lot’s of squirrels around and there seems to be plenty of rabbits this year as well. Of course, you can also go out and try for a few coyotes or foxes. There seems to be plenty of them as well.

NOTES: Happy New Year to all. We are looking forward to seeing all of you again this year. I am sure you will notice some changes around the resort.
