Update 2/14/2010

Here we are…Valentines Day already. It seems like it’s been a long winter, but that just means spring is on it’s way. It looks like we will have lot’s of help for the Christmas tree drop this year. That’s great!! We will likely be dropping a lot of cedars as well. The tentative date is still March 20, but it might be March 27. I will keep you all posted on that.—- I will be at the boat show up in Moline, Illinois this coming weekend. It was a great show last year and I expect it will be this year as well. Come on out and enjoy all the booths and seminars.—- Today is the last day for small game hunting. After that it will be coyotes and soon the snow geese should be showing up.—- I hear the walleye fishing over on the Mississippi River has been doing pretty good. Give Lynn Tharp a call if you want to hire a guide and get some good fishing in to break that cabin fever. His contact information is in the contacts area of this website. He can also take you up to Thomas Hill for a day of crappie fishing. I have heard of some good catches coming from there this winter.— The Twain is still frozen solid with the exception of a bit of open water under the bridges. I guess one could fish there or below the dam, but I haven’t heard of anyone doing that. I did hear of a lot of eagles up near the dam so that in itself would be worth a trip. If anyone is thinking about doing that call us first or post on here so I can find out if they are still there before you come.—- We are working hard around here trying to get some projects done to make the resort a bit better than last year for all of our guests. See you all soon

    Ron,
Are there plans to sdd more places to charge the boats back up in the evening?

  2. Jim Says:

That should be add instead of sdd. Sorry about that.

  3. Joe G Says:

THANKS for those cool pictures of the frozen lake!

Not to sure yet on adding more outlets. We have a double on each unit plus 2 doubles out on the pole by the pool. We also have a double on the pole over by our house. The only places I can think to add them without being a big issue would be on the ends of the building and I am just not sure I want them there yet. We’ll see if we get any weather conducive to running wire yet before the season starts.

I would like to start off by saying, thank you for providing me with the information I’ve been searching for. I have been surfing the net for two hours searching for it and would have given my right arm if I would have found your site sooner. Not only did I locate what I was searching for, but also found answers to questions I never even thought to ask. Thank you for such a wonderful web-site!
